Kathy Damron
Kathy has more than twenty years of experience in public relations, grassroots coalition building, and lobbying in Washington, D.C. and Kansas. Her experience working inside the Governor's office, on Capitol Hill and in many political campaigns provides her clients a unique and valuable insight into the political and public policy process.
A graduate of Kansas State University, Kathy began her career as a news reporter. Following several years working in journalism, Kathy entered the field of politics and governmental affairs. She has served as an assistant to three prominent Kansas elected officials: Congressman Pat Roberts, R-KS; former Governor Mike Hayden, R-KS; and United States Senate Majority Leader Robert J. Dole, R-KS. She served as press secretary and campaign director for all three of these elected officials.
Following Senator Dole's successful re-election in 1992, Kathy formed Strategic Communications of Kansas. This firm represents a variety of business and industry concerns before the State Legislature. Her firm provides comprehensive public relations services, media consulting, grassroots coalition management, and legislative monitoring.
